Sometimes the best we can do is to "have a big mouth". It sounds to me like the groomer has lots to learn about her profession. The fact that she knew you would be upset but did not call you shows a lack of trust and a need for money on her part. Not good. The fact that she found critical things to say about your heart's friend tells you she has favorites and your dog can "know" that. Get thee to a new groomer if you try again is my opinion for what it is worth and....."have a big mouth " and let all of your friends know that you have little trust with that groomer and she is not professional enough to ever be entrusted with your heart's best friend again. I too would have been horrified especially in the additional comments. We groom our three. We bought a grooming table which helps at times if there is any matting. (Sometimes in the winter with a jacket matting can happen with the best of care.) Again, try to cheer a little because dogs know when something is a miss and your dog needs you now.
