She ended up showing as having an enlarged heart, and from onset to demise was only a little over 24 hours. That is not normal.......... I have seen others although I do not know how long they live, or how old they are. There does not seem to be illness with any of the parti yorkies that I have seen so far, and I have not come across any of the choclate ones. The few blue puppies I have known about died shortly after birth or within a few months. For some reason, the blue do not survive long at all. |
I know of my own and many other chocolate yorkies that are perfectly healthy, well bred and thriving. There is always a risk of something like your stating happening but that is true with any coat color so it isn't a true indication that coat color had something to do with it. There is plenty of information on there proving that blue borns are the ONLY ones that have health issues above and beyond those of the standard coat color.
