Clock I worried my puppy is getting really fat!

I have a 15 week old puppy, he is very short and stocky little puppy. But I am afraid he is getting too fat. I have a female I bought from a different tate she is exactly the same height as him. The Vet said she is an ideal weight. He feels heavy when I pick him up! My vet sad if he is too heavy it can be bad for his knees and hips. How can I put a growing puppy on diet. He is always hungry. I always know where to find him. He eats his food then he wants to go in everyone else crate and eat thier food. When its play time Jag always disapears and we know where he at looking for food. He weighs 3.11lbs. I know that may not sound like much but he is has very short legs and is small, when I got him at 10 weeks he weighed 1.6.lb. He is getting as wide as he is tall. My female weighs 2.10lb. I just want him a a healthy weight how do I do that while he grow, what do I feed him. I feed them Ukanuba Puppy now.
