I really agree with this. I mean really, dogs should be able to handle variety - and it's actually good for them. What can cause problems though, is (similar to what Marci said) when the body detoxes from moving into a superior diet.

It's sort of like when a human has been on a junky diet, then decides to "cut out all the crap" for awhile - and wow - the body can reeeaaaalllly go through a nasty detox bc of it (even get sick). It's kind of interesting, really.

That said, there are some dogs who are sensitive no matter what, I suppose. But if your dogs have been eating pretty premium stuff, you're probably okay. I can tell you anecdotally that bc my guys eat premium stuff (raw now, homecooking before that, premium kibble before that) - they can pretty much eat anything now and their bodies are fine. [they sneak kibble when we vacation w/ others, and even that is no problem for them]
