I've often heard that a year was the cut off date for ears standing on their own because all the teething should be over by then. Is there any cartiledge in the tips of the ears?
I ask because I have a tipflopper and one whose ears stood at a few weeks all on their own. Rusty, my floppy tipper was able to get his ears to stand for the most part as he got older, but the tips never stood as there was no cartiledge there. No bone, no stand. (now if he is running they are flying in the wind...I love to walk behind him because his ears bounce.....
