My name is Lorisha and I'm trying to find a reputable breeder in the VA/Philadelphia/North Carolina area? I've been researching on the internet for awhile but there is just sooooo much out there and I'm so overwhelmed. I'm looking to adopt in spring of next year because my husband will be back then and we'll be able to train and give time and attention. I'm a nurse and we have no children so our furbaby will be spoiled to death. I don't expect adopting to be cheap, but I want to know that I'm not getting ripped off by a puppy mill or broker. We own our home and it has a large fenced backyard, and our pet will be kept in the hourse with us.

Another question: I see puppies listed anywhere from $500-$3000 dollars on the internet and newspapers. What is a reasonable price for a dog with limited registration? Thanks for any help you can give I appreciate it.
sorry i am no help with a breeder in the area but i think anywhere from 1000-2000 is a reasonable price for a healthy, good sized pup. The smaller ones tend to be more money... as long as the pup is NOT termed "tea cup" i feel the breeders are charging more because he/she will come with many extra needs and they want to make sure the pup is going to someone who can afford the possible medical care the pup will need in the future.

as for a pup.. try looking in the "nursery".
