Sounds like a perfect ending!
I'm sure the tail looks a bit odd for you now, but I'm sure you will get used to it! In my opinion and experience it's much nicer with the tail. The dog doesn't have to waggle his whole body, just it's tail. And I love the sound of the tail "hitting" the sofa whan I get home. I can hear that he's happy. And their coordination seems better when they have their tail. And no hurting stump. Our first yorkie had a docked tail and he often sat down, jumped upp as quickly as the stump touched the floor and sat again very, very carefully.
Besides, I find the long-haired (trimmed like a feather) tail to be really beautiful! I check if I can find a pic of my sister's dog. She's trimmed to a modified schnauzer-look and has a long tail. |
