I went through bilateral LP surgery with Gracie. The best thing you can do is ask about the risks and benefits, what happens if baby does not have the surgery, and what to expect during the post-op period? Do some searches here on LP. I posted a lengthy thread or two with a day in the life during Gracie's post-op period. Don't want to scare you, but it helps to know what to expect. This is not something to be taken lightly.
