In a young puppy, you can never really tell it has LP or not. (unless it is bad) You have to wait until they are old. Genetics are the reason some have it. I was told that one of my puppies might have it. Imagine how upset I was. Both mom and dad are my dogs! But when I brought the litter back at 12 weeks they couldn't find any slippage in any of them.
