Just some info we can throw back to someone who insults our dogs...........
from the "Dog Bible, The Definitive Source for all Things Dog" by Kristin Mehus-Roe, page 344, it shows a Silky Terrier and weights are 8 to 10 lbs standard, erect ears, looks very much like a yorkie EXCEPT the face is a little larger because of the Australian Terrier genes. The body is longer than the dog is tall, while a Yorkie has a square body, and there are differences in the bone shape of the heads. Silkys have a strong, long and WEDGE shaped head with a flat skull that is slightly longer than the muzzle.
The yorkie has a small, flat skull: the muzzle is tapered with a small black nose. Yorkies have long hair on the muzzle, while Silkys have short hair on the muzzle.
Also a Silky is calmer and sweet as it's activity level is moderate, while Yorkies is high.
For a real kick, you could tell them their doggie looks like a Chinese Crested Powderpuff. Let them go home and look it up HA!
