If nobody here knows, maybe the owner of the home you'll be staying in would know which restaurants allow dogs? Just a thought.
As for the crate or gating them in a room, whichever you and they will be more comfortable. I have to crate Gus when I leave him places other than home because he acts out...jumps gates, scratches doors. In the crate he sleeps and I know he's safe.
