I've seen a dog that bad before. The local rescue rescued a pit bull mix that was nothing but bones... probably only a few days from dying. One of the families I sit for was fostering it and they had just gotten the day that I sat for them. I sat down in a rockign chair and the emaciated dog (which should have hated humans) climbed in my lap and licked my face. Dogs have the amazing power to forgive the species that inflicts so much harm upon them. |
