We sent this message to the Attorney General:
RE: Teresita Hughes - Tarpon Springs Puppy Mill
To whom it may concern:
PLEASE intervene and DO NOT return a single animal to this woman! She has already demonstrated that she is unfit to care for them. This is an obvious case of animal abuse. "Proper paperwork" aside, these dogs need human advocates for them. Please find a way to assure that these dogs are not placed back into this situation.
Otherwise, your office and this judge are contributors to animal cruelty. Surely you can find other laws that she has broken that will allow you to legally remove these animals and find them loving homes. We are outraged that this judge would allow her to EVER own an animal again, much less return ones to her that she has already abused and neglected, resulting in at least 2 deaths! How much more proof do you need of animal cruelty?
PLEASE DO SOMETHING before these little ones are subjected to further physical and emotional trauma!
