I am uncertain as to what "rude" posters mean. I see no cursing, or nasty remarks that are directly attacking anyone. Administration does step in and will close a thread when needed. Knowledge is power, and I believe newbies come on here sometimes thinking that they will always get people to agree and support them. That is not going to always happen on here.
Newbies become very offended quickly and then shoot off their mouths sometimes, making it worse. I have seen that happen many times. Many times, they are the ones to get angry because they do not like what others have to say. AND do not want anyone to disagree with them.
Don't take it personally and everything would be fine.
I'm sorry, but I just joined and I already know what everyone here is talking about. I think it's rather funny that you refer to new people as "newbies" when you just joined in May 2008. Just because you've posted over 800 times this does not make you an expert. "Newbies" become offended because of the mannerism in which people respond to them. Passion does not equal rudeness. As far as the newbies shooting off their mouth they have every right to do so when someone who believes himself/herself to be an expert makes them feel like dirt and being attacked. Would you take nonsense from someone on the street if they spoke to you in this manner? I don't think so! You'd probably slap them upside the head. This is no different. All people here are saying that members can be great teachers and wonderful sources of information without being self righteous. Geez, I can't believe my first post is about defending us "newbies".
