Yeah I agree with everyone else...you should go to the vet. Same thing happened with Abbey last week. One ear smelled the other didn't. When I took her to the vet she stuck in a Q-tip and came out with a huge heap of black gunk. It was nasty. It was an infection. Most likely from water like you said. The vet gave me some ear wash. Now I always put cotton in her ears for baths and makes sure they stay dry. Then they ear wash keeps them nice and clean. Even at times when she does not have an infection it's good to use an ear wash in conjunction with baths.
