Even with soy you deal with something burning. I like the soy candles compared to other ones with flames however, I feel safer with a warmer doing the work and not worrying about leaving it on or the kids or Guinness knocking it. The wax lasts from 50-80 hours depending on the bar and you don't have to keep it lit constantly to enjoy the scent.
To be honest, I like the idea of Scentsy because I'm so forgetful and especially when I was pregnant, I lit a towel on fire before!
