 My Sammy is gone
I took Sammy to get neutered yesterday morning. I had already put it off twice and needed to have it done before I began work in a couple of days. I called at 1:30 pm to check in on him and everything was said to be fine. At 2:30 pm, the vet called to say he wasn't doing well. She wanted to do xrays of his chest. She told me I could come up and be with him. I immediately drove there, but by the time I got there, he was going in to cardiac arrest. They opened his chest to massage his heart, but to no avail. I only got to see him after he had passed. I can't explain how much that Yorkie stole mine and my husband's heart for the last nine months. The vet said he had a severe allergic reaction to the anesthesia. I miss him so much. We don't have any children, so he was my child. It took 11 years to even talk my husband in to allowing me to get a small dog and keep him inside. I just miss him so much. I just miss him. Thanks for all of your advice. I always tried to be very careful, but we are not in control. I got to spend a wonderful 9 months with him, and he was treated like a king. Goodbye. |
