My 1 yr old Yorkie bite my son's friend yesterday. He has occasionally growled at people but never biten. He broke the skin. The boys parents did not care. I am lucky there. But I am upset. I can't have a dog biting kids at my home. I have 4 kids and other children here all the time. He has been really testy this past week. If he was female I would think it was her heat.....
We have also had to put down our boxer about 3 weeks ago. I am wondering if this has anything to do with it. He was the ALPHA dog in our house lol. What he said went with the other dogs. Could he maybe be trying to take over that position?
I have also noticed that he tries to bite when the kids are running.
He does get punished for this behaviour. He spent some time in his crate. I held his face and stared him down until he looked away and told him bad.
