Sorry to hear about Tino it sounds like a traechea problem which is aggravated by the collar and lead but is really hereditary. Has the vet said that is definately the problem or could it be a neck problem like a disc in the neck if so the vet could prescribe a pain killer and rest and that would help. My oldest yorkie suffers with the same problem but since I have stopped showing him and he only goes out on a harness we have had no further problem and that was 2 years ago. Check with the vet before you do anything drastic. Hope all goes well anyway.
