 shake
This may sound silly but the truth is I don't think I'm doing any of the training with Lily (15 wks). Katie our 11 yr old standard poodle is modeling everything from potty training (oops I said it) to down and shake. I ask Katie, she does it and then I repeat with Lily. Lily watches her like a hawk and won't even eat out of her own dish now. I have to fool her and put her food in Katie's bowl first. Do you have a friend with a dog that shakes? Pair them up. I thought Lily was walking great until I tried without Katie. She sucked! It took another week to really get her to walk on her own although she does like to hang on to the leash. Good luck.
