It has a minty smell when you first put it in the water but i don't notice it after a little bit. It doesn't have a taste to the babies. I also used filtered water for them.

It comes in the 16 oz bottle and will last a long time as you only use a capful per 24 oz of water. I use the jug of water that turns over in a dish and fills up the dish as they drink it down. I use 3 caps in that jug but you will have to measure out how much water is in your dish. Be sure and shake the bottle of Dental Care really well before using to mix it up really nice. I put the dental care in the bottle and then fill it up and that mixes it really good too.
We are thrilled to not have to have their teeth cleaned with anesthetic, which is always risky and EXPEN$IVE!!
