When I took Taz to the vet because he was scratching so much, the vet asked what sampoo I was using. I was told Johnson's baby shampoo worked well. She told me to never use human shampoo on dogs because their pH level is different than humans and it is not designed for them. I switched him to Bio-Groom Natural Otameal Anti-itch Shampoo and it has worked wonders. He still scratches a little, but nothing like before. Most shampoos for sensitive dog skin are soap-free.
