You can put the crate on your bed or beside your bed so that he is close to you. And if he wimpers just slide a finger through the slots so he can smell or lick it. But he won't feel punished! The crate becomes his home in no time! You're hurting him
more by putting him at risk when you keep him on your bed. If he jumped or if you rolled on him he could get seriously injured. I don't know about you but that seems like a huge risk that I wouldn't want to take.
