I was tired of cleaning it up all the time and tired with the fact that it was ineffective. I decided to remove the crate divider and give him the entire room in the crate. I put a blanket on one end of the crate and a pee pad on the other. He then had the choice to either go on the pad or on his blanket. Thankfully he chose the pad lol. I really think that was what got him to associate the pad with going potty. He finally started getting used to peeing on the pad (inside and outside of the crate).

I know some people might object to my method and argue that they won't learn to hold their pee/poo that way. But, that was the only thing that got him to start using the pee pads consistantly. He doesn't go outside either, so he doesn't really have to "hold it" as he just goes on the pads. In the beginning (before I changed his crate set up) I tried the spray to attract him to the pad, but for some reason it made him dig at the pad like crazy. I swear, this was the only that worked for him. I tried everything else and nothing seemed to work. Please give it a try and let us know how he makes out. Good luck

what kind of "crate" are you using?? I dont have one handy. Id have to buy one. I just have a small carry kennel and a playpen which he doesnt like to be in.
