I had a very bad experience with my first, she is a yorkie mix. She is alive and well thank god but Lily had many health issues and surgery on both her back legs. This was difficult for me because I was newly married and my husband is in grad school. We made it through and she is all well, but what I have learned from this is it could happen to anyone and if you spend the time researching and finding a good breeder more than likely you will have no issues. But if you do it can only make you stronger, and all things happen for a reason. We just got our second and I was so nervous because I was so scared he was going to have issues but he is very happy and healthy. Ther are tons of health yorkies, I just think it is the bad stories that stick in our head.
