There is a sealer that will seal the grout.... that's the reason I have my xpens on linoleum remnants in my sunroom... the grout in there isn't sealed and I don't want the urine to get in the grout in there.
I assume once you get the smell out you can seal the grout... (the water and vinegar solution sounds good).
