Barking is a behavior that can be corrected. As with most dogs, you can expect them to bark at a knock at the door, a noise outside etc. But they can be taught to stop when you tell them to. a dog that is left alone a lot might do a lot of barking when you aren't there. But if they are exercised before you leave them, they should just sleep while yhou are gone.
