You can train your dogs not to bark too much. We overlook a park, and Joey considers the park his backyard. He has learned to not bark at people, but if he sees someone with a dog, he'll still bark. We filled a "tin" with a bunch of pennies, and say, "no" and shake the can, when we don't want him to bark. For a while, I had 3 tin's of pennies, so that one was always within easy reach. You don't have to get agitated or angry, just be firm, say "no" and shake the can. Usually "No' works by itself, but I still have to have refresher courses with the can. Remember, you will never eliminate barking, you are only trying to reduce it to a reasonable amount. Barking is a way for dogs to alert you to something, so always be willing to listen to want he's trying to tell you.
