Just a few questions about parvo. I just came across a couple of postings on my local Kijiji classifieds, with a dog owner who said her dog is currently at the animal hospital due to parvo, and her friend's dog has also been affected in another area of the city, and one dog has already died. Her post warns not to walk your dogs, but even hers have never left the yard and still got infected. She also says her dogs were vaccinated, but it could be another strain...
Soooo my question is, how long does the vaccine last? Layla had all her shots when she was a puppy, including parvo, but will this give her lifelong immunity? I'm just a little worried about taking her to the dog park or for walks around the neighborhood now. I did a google search for parvo in my city and all that comes up are the two Kijiji posts by this same person.
