What is sad though is last year I got financial aid for the 2007-2008 school year and it was $10,500, did the cost of classes go up $1,000 a semester?? That is what gets me crazy! Why sooo much money to get a degree?? Im going to owe $18,000 when Im done and I've already paid about $7,000. This is just for a state college!
OH and FAFSA... forget it! I quit hoping for that. I am a single woman with a mortgage. They deny me saying that I can pay $14,000 a year myself. CRAZY!!!!! Maybe if I lived at home with my parents I could.... but not with a mortgage! They really need to take that into consideration!!! |
My bill came yesterday and it's due on the 15th. Classes here start on the 25th. I might be wrong, but I would guess the increase in your financial aid doesn't have anything to do with an increase in tuition. You don't even want to know how much money I'm going to owe by the time I graduate!

I'm going to be in debt for years!
Just in case anyone's looking for any additional sources of aid, I've gotten money from a Tuition Answer Loan the last couple of years. You can apply online, you're approved right away and they mail a check directly to you.
