Hi! I have a six month old Yorkie puppy and lately when I take him outside to use the restroom in the backyard he makes a mad dash down the drive to the street. Yesterday, I had to chase him down my street and one street over and was lucky to catch him. These little guys are so fast! Anyway, this really upsets me because I'm scared he will either get hit by a car or I won't be able to catch him. It seems to have gotten worse lately and any time I try to yell for him to come he darts the other direction. Any advice on getting your yorkies to come and prevent them from running away. He normally comes inside the house or when I call him from the backyard but lately he has been making these dashes and it almost impossible to catch him. I try to scold him and tell him "no" very harshly and have popped him on the nose. But, he continues to go on his mad dashes.
