The engine light is an indicator for some type of problem. If you take it to a dealer or a mechanic you trust,wont rip you off (especially if your a girl) then they will put it up on the computer ,and the code will tell them the problem. That does'nt mean you have to have it fixed at the same place. But do it sooner than later. My mechanic went on my car a few years back,and it was about to blow,due to the fact I waited too long. Good Luck,and make sure the mechanic is trusting,and if able let a "male" take it to the garage.
