All very helpful information. With Gizmo's bouts of Pancreatitis and HGE and costing 400 to 500 at a time, I went with the Care Credit. It can also be used for human medical purposes. I use it for the dentist. The payments are very reasonable and if you pay it off within a certain time there is NO interest. Should anything ever happen again, God forbid, the financial part is covered. There is a 5600 limit on mine.
I also have the peace of mind knowing should we ever need an ER vet and low on resources I can just use the Care Credit and be seen, they are very expensive.
