Kennel cough usually sounds like a honking. It doesn't necessaryly go hand in hand with coccidosis. Keep the dogs seperated the best you can so it doesn't get passed back and forth and get meds for both of them.
While I would always recommend a vet check for Borditella.... it isn't always as bad as some might think, most of the time it can be cleared up with meds.. It really is the same as a cold for humans. It can vary from a slight cold to pneumomia.
Also remember a Borditella shot does not always safeguard against kennel cough, just like human colds, Borditella has may different strains and vaccinations only catch but so many strains. I would always recommend the vaccine but never RELY on it to prevent it in entirety(spelling?)
