Why can't the dog walk in front of you? I understand for like an obedience competition, but on a leisurely walk mine are always in front of me, but with a loose lead and not pulling. If you work with them they can learn boundaries. It's fine if they walk in front as long as you are still setting the boundaries and they are not pulling you along.
