I don't think bacterial problems are huge in dogs unless they have a compromised immune system (because dogs can process salmonella when they are on the raw diet). That doesn't mean Bella and Diggy have compromised immune systems, but lots of dogs chew on old bully sticks I would think.

I really have no idea but it is a possibility that her immune system isn't working quite right, so she can't fight things off. If that were the case though, I would think sense Diggy had clostridium also, he would have mites. So it is hard to say what is going on.

When you give Bella a warm bath now with her new shampoo, does the itching get worse during/after it?

If she is having problems going on grass and doesn't want to, I would be concerned that it is bothering her...
