Demodectic mange mites are not, (other than by being passed on from mother to puppy) - - it is something that is not preventable - not curable... but treatable..... so no - - no other animals in the house would carry the demodex mange simply because one dog has it.
It's very easy to differentiate between the two different mites under the microscope. | Good Post.
