Can anyone help me out here, I have heard such favorable things about raw and am now not sure which way to go. | You do need to be more careful how you handle the raw food opposed to if you were feeding kibble. You would want to treat it as if it was a raw steak or chicken that you would be eating.
I never thaw mine out on the counter, I leave it in the fridge to thaw and I feed them on paper plates and I also use plastic disposable utensils to cut it up. So everything is disposable - and I alway's wash my hands after feeding them. There are so many people here at YT that feed Raw wether its pre-made raw or full raw diet and I am not sure that I have heard yet of anyones pet getting E-coli.
I think alot of the times these vets love to put the fear of god in us!
You do what you think is best - I am so happy since I switched and will never go back unless I absolutely had!!! |
