I am also 70 but not everyone is able to do the same things at the same age and i am on the run all day plus i know the good , bad and ugly of owning and having a puppy/or dog - I agree to letting Mom have some time with your baby and don't be too hasty to get her one- it doesn't sound like it would last for the long haul ( 15 yr lifespan ) of her having a baby - not to mention she would then be 85 .
Or is this a way for you to get a second one for you

Just kidding and it really is not a bad way to do it
