welcom to YT. You should be fine. My baby is in his crate from 8:00 to 3:00 and does ok. so the first thing I do when I get home is give him lots of hugs and kisses, then take him for his walk. This is my first yorkie and he is the smartest little thing...all he needs is to talk. Good luck
