I am also very sorry for your loss. I do have to say that I hope you keep this baby leashed up. That "jerk" may not have even realized he killed a puppy, as small as they are.

As far as grieving, it varies for everyone. I had to put my beloved Roman to sleep in February because of a very rare incurable disease. I said my good bye to him and held him while he passed over the rainbow bridge on Valentine's Day. To this day, I can not look at a picture of him or see a dog that looks like him without crying. We expect years of companionship and it is so tragic when that dream comes to an abrupt and early end.

I am sure you will grieve your pup for quite some time.
