My babies sleep with me all the time and I have a ceiling fan that is always on. When I first start out with a new baby, he/she is in a soft sided carrier on the bed. I do put a light weight blanket on it and leave only the side towards my head uncovered. I have always intended for each of them to sleep with me.
i don't know if I have just been lucky or not, but have had no problems with any coughs. Hope your little ones get better soon. Puppy kisses to your babies.
