Try some triple antibiotic ointment - they have some that help with pain and I'd just do what you're doing - carry her around.....but watch for infection -
I worry about that too walking my girls on the sidewalks where I live....I don't know what to tell you cept maybe she needs water shoes for the next time ? (or little baby socks ?)
