She usually does it when she gets really excited and then starts to calm down. Sometimes though she just does it for no reason at all that I can tell. The vet says she is healthy no parasites in her stool no congestion in her lungs. She's not having problems eating. Has anyone had this problem? I am afraid she has something wrong with her throat. I was wondering if so if she would grow out of this or if this could be life threatening. Our other yorkie does the same thing but not as often as this little girl. We are becoming very attached and am a little nervous not knowing what is wrong. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

hello everyone.
Let me start by saying THANK GOD I found this site! I felt very alone with my situation. My vet thinks that I am nuts and so does his unhappy assistants.

I have 2 new yorkies. Cooper who is a 5 lb. toy and Oliver who is my poor 2.5 lb. teacup sick baby.

My Oliver does the same thing! He sounds like he is blowing out of his nose a lot too.
He has been to the vet 7 times and has had several meds. to no avail. He still plays and eats and drinks but he poops out easily. He even does his gag/cough during the night, he comes out of a deep sleep. He has had his kennel cough nose drops and he has had pictures of his lungs and heart and the vet said that they are perfect. I am so confused and sad by my babies condition! I am at a loss

Thanks in advance for any sort of assistance!
