I decided to quit smoking last year and went with the Chantix pill. I have tried the gums, patches and whatnot...none worked...I really didn't have faith in the Chantix working either so I kept smoking, putting back my quit date to the 1st of Feb. However, I didn't make it...I ended up quitting January 16th. The first couple of months I did think about a cigarette but not enough to pick one up...now, I don't even think about it. I smoked just shy of 20 years!!

Now the bad news, the side effects for me were horrible...I was very nauseated for about 30-45 minutes after taking the pill and tired wasn't it...I was exhausted! I am sure my other medical problems played a part...but in the end...I am no longer a smoker...I only took the pills for 2 1/2 months.

So...maybe it is an option...I got everyone on them at work...a few didn't go through with it because of the nausea. But the ones that did stick it out no longer smoke.
