i agree with the above posters. if her hair is long, then you should shave her down to a puppy cut. bring plenty of ice water with you when going out and bring a spray bottle or dunk her in the water every so often to keep her wet.
try taking her out in the backyard for a longer time then you normally would and try the above methods of keeping her cool. this way if you think she's getting too hot you can go right inside where its cooler.
if she's really young or really small then the heat may just be too much for her little body
