Good advice! I think it's especially hard to train these little guys as people unwittingly encourage the bad behavior. I think it's a great idea to practice with friends as you can remind them not to encourage the jumping. It's hard out in public when you try to correct it and people are always saying oh no it's fine and then going ahead and petting her, telling her what a good girl she is or whatever.
