Well, that was my one suggestion. I will say that I've taken fish oil in the past and never noticed any real benefit to it though I'm sure it must have done some good. With the flaxseed oil, however, I noticed a change within about 2 weeks. The reason for either of these oils it to get the omega fatty acids. There are 3 types....Omega 3, 6 and 9. Fish oils can vary greatly as to the proportion of each type in it. The body needs different ratios of each. Flaxseed oil contains the parent molecule that all 3 types of omega acids are derived from. It is my understanding that the body determines how the flaxseed oil molecule is broken down depending on the need. This may be why I noticed a benefit with the flaxseed oil and not the fish oil. Just something you may want to consider but I wouldn't advise giving both types of oil at once. I have a couple of 3 pound yorkies and they tolerate the flaxseed oil very well so I don't think your baby's size would be an issue. Best of luck.
