Hello everyone,
We just got our second yorkie. Her name is Daisy May. She is 10 weeks old and weighs 1.8lbs. Ever since we got her we have noticed she has a gagging problem. She doesn't throw up or anything like that She just gags. I asked the vet about it and he seemed to feel like it was no big deal. I am beginning to wonder if their is something wrong though. She usually does it when she gets really excited and then starts to calm down. Sometimes though she just does it for no reason at all that I can tell. The vet says she is healthy no parasites in her stool no congestion in her lungs. She's not having problems eating. Has anyone had this problem? I am afraid she has something wrong with her throat. I was wondering if so if she would grow out of this or if this could be life threatening. Our other yorkie does the same thing but not as often as this little girl. We are becoming very attached and am a little nervous not knowing what is wrong. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
