I think that growth with yorkies from what I've read can vary quite a bit with when they actually stop growing. Our breeder said to double their weight at 12 weeks and to be on the safe side then add a pound. At 6 1/2 months Mica was 3 pounds and she is about 3 pounds six ounces now. Kali was 3 pounds 2 ounces at 6 1/2 months and is now 4 pounds 4 ounces. Kali is just over 8 months and Mica just turned a year. Based on the growth chart Mica is right on track. She was one pound 3 ounces at 12 weeks. Double that would be 2 pounds 6 ounces and adding a pound would be 3 pounds six ounces. She was just weighed yesterday and she is exactly that and right on that growth scale. I have heard though of some yorkies that stop growing sooner and some that continue to grow beyond the growth chart. Guess it depends on genetics and hereditary factors from generations back.
